Evansville started their season in an 0-3 hole before wins over Eastern Illinois and Southeast Missouri State. After losing two more the Aces went on a four-game win streak, taking out Southern Illinois, Northern Iowa (twice) and Illinois State. Evansville fell to the Redbirds last weekend in the rematch game, however.
In Saturday’s game, the Aces fell behind Bradley 34-27 at halftime and couldn’t bridge the gap in an eventual 69-60 loss. Leading the way for Evansville was Jawuan Newton, the only player on the team in double-figures with 22 points, two rebounds and two assists.
Over on the Bradley side, they came out of the gate at 3-1 before a loss to South Dakota State. The Braves then took out Lewis, Jackson State and Miami-OH before losses to Missouri and Northern Iowa. Bradley was able to beat Northern Iowa in the Monday game, 75-73.

In Saturday’s outing, leading the scoring for Bradley was Elijah Childs with 19 points and eight rebounds. Terry Nolan added 16 points and five boards as well.
The under is 5-2 in the Braves’ last seven Sunday games and they’re 10-22-2 ATS in their last 34 as a favorite of 7.0-12.5. The over is 7-1 in Bradley’s last eight overall and 5-0 in their last five games as a favorite.
Meanwhile, the Aces are 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven Sunday games and the under is 16-7 in their last 23 road games. Evansville is 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight games overall and 6-3 ATS in their last nine road games versus a team with a winning home record.
PICK: I’m going to stick with Bradley here. The Braves have had a few bad outings this season, but for the most part they’ve bounced back well and are scoring fairly consistently. Bradley had a combined 147 points in the two Northern Iowa games, and nearly upset a great Missouri team late last month. Saturday’s game was another solid scoring total for the Braves, and I like them to keep it going in this one.
